3-Ingredient Pan-Fried Halloumi

Posted on March 12, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for 3-Ingredient Pan-Fried Halloumi:

Ingredients

  1. 200g halloumi cheese – sliced about 1 cm thick
  2. 1–2 tbsp olive oil – for frying
  3. Lemon juice – to drizzle at the end (from about half a lemon)

Instructions

  1. Prep the halloumi
    • Slice the halloumi into 1 cm thick pieces.
    • Pat lightly with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Heat the pan
    • Add olive oil to a non-stick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
    • Let the oil warm up for about 1 minute.
  3. Fry the halloumi
    • Place the slices in the pan without overcrowding.
    • Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve
    • Transfer to a plate and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
    • Optional: Add cracked black pepper or fresh herbs if you want a little extra flavor.

Tips:

  • Do not overcook — halloumi can become rubbery if cooked too long.
  • Serve with a simple salad or in a sandwich for a quick meal.

If you want, I can also suggest a visual plating idea that makes this look restaurant-worthy with just these three ingredients.

Do you want me to do that?
