Philly Cheesesteak Crescent Ring
Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 lb (450 g) beef steak, thinly sliced (ribeye or sirloin)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper
- 1½ cups shredded provolone or mozzarella
- Optional: sliced American cheese
Instructions
- Prep
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook filling
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Sauté onions and peppers (and mushrooms) until soft.
- Add beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook just until beef is done. Remove from heat.
- Assemble ring
- Arrange crescent triangles in a circle on the baking sheet, wide ends overlapping in the center, points facing out.
- Spoon beef mixture evenly around the ring.
- Top with cheese.
- Wrap
- Fold the pointed ends of the crescents over the filling and tuck underneath, forming a ring.
- Bake
- Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool & serve
- Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
