Here’s a crispy, savory, and downright indulgent recipe for Garlic Parmesan Fried Lamb Chops — perfect for when you want to level up your lamb game with a golden, garlicky crust and a juicy, tender inside.

🥩 Garlic Parmesan Fried Lamb Chops

🕒 Prep Time: 15 min | Cook Time: 10–12 min | Serves: 2–4

🍴 Ingredients:

For the Lamb:

  • 8 lamb rib chops (about 1–1½ lbs total), trimmed

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp fresh or dried rosemary (optional)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Breading:

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned or Panko for extra crunch)

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • ½ cup flour (for dredging)

For Frying:

  • Neutral oil (like vegetable or avocado oil) for shallow frying

🧄 Optional Garlic Butter Finish:

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

🔪 Instructions:

  1. Prep the Lamb Chops:
Pat lamb chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary. Let sit at room temp for 10–15 minutes while you prep the coating.

  2. Set Up Breading Station:

    • Bowl 1: Flour

    • Bowl 2: Beaten eggs

    • Bowl 3: Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, and paprika

  3. Bread the Lamb Chops:
Dredge each chop in flour (shake off excess), dip into egg, then coat in the breadcrumb-Parmesan mix. Press firmly so the coating sticks well.

  4. Fry the Chops:
In a large skillet, heat ¼ inch of oil over medium heat until hot (about 350°F/175°C). Fry lamb chops in batches for about 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked to your preferred doneness. Internal temp for medium-rare: 135°F (57°C).

  5. Drain & Rest:
Transfer fried chops to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Let rest for 5 minutes.

  6. (Optional) Garlic Butter Finish:
Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Drizzle over the fried lamb chops for a garlic boost and extra shine.

🧀 Serving Ideas:

  • Over creamy mashed potatoes or garlic parmesan risotto

  • With roasted veggies or a light arugula salad

  • Add lemon wedges on the side for brightness

🔄 Tips & Variations:

  • Want it baked? Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 min on a wire rack, flipping halfway through.

  • Make it spicy: Add cayenne or crushed red pepper to the breadcrumb mix.

  • Try bone-in lamb loin chops if you prefer a meatier cut.
