πŸ“ Ingredients:

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Potatoes:

  • 1 lb (450g) baby potatoes, halved or quartered

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt, pepper, paprika (to taste)

Garlic Butter:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or chopped fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley)

  • Optional: pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness

🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep and Sear the Potatoes:

  • Heat 1–2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add the potatoes (cut-side down) and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  • Cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping occasionally, until golden and fork-tender.

  • Remove and set aside.

2. Sear the Steak:

  • Season steak cubes with salt and pepper.

  • In the same skillet, heat 1 tbsp oil over high heat.

  • Add steak pieces in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).

  • Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.

  • Remove steak and set aside (tent with foil to keep warm).

3. Make Garlic Butter:

  • Lower heat to medium.

  • Add butter to the pan, then stir in minced garlic and herbs.

  • Cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until fragrant (don’t burn the garlic!).

4. Combine Everything:

  • Return potatoes and steak to the skillet.

  • Toss in the garlic butter to coat everything well.

  • Cook together for another 1–2 minutes to reheat and blend flavors.

βœ… Serve:

  • Garnish with fresh parsley, extra butter, or a sprinkle of Parmesan.

  • Serve with a side salad, steamed veggies, or crusty bread.

πŸ”„ Tips & Variations:

  • Use sweet potatoes for a twist.

  • Add green beans, asparagus, or mushrooms to the skillet.

  • Try it with chicken, shrimp, or tofu for variations.
