Air Fryer Baked Potatoes (Crispy & Flavorful)
Yield: 2–4 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 35–45 minutes
Total Time: 45–50 minutes
Ingredients
-
2–4 medium Russet potatoes (scrubbed and dried)
-
1–2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 teaspoon kosher salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
-
Optional: 1/4 teaspoon paprika or smoked paprika
Instructions
1. Preheat the Air Fryer
-
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 5 minutes.
2. Prep the Potatoes
-
Using a fork, prick each potato 4–5 times all around. This allows steam to escape during cooking.
-
Rub each potato with olive oil, coating evenly.
-
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika (if using).
-
Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over each potato, pressing gently to adhere.
3. Air Fry
-
Place potatoes in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for air circulation.
-
Cook at 200°C (400°F) for 35–45 minutes, depending on size, turning once halfway through.
-
Test for doneness by inserting a knife or skewer — it should slide in easily.
4. Serve
-
Remove from the air fryer and let cool for 2–3 minutes.
-
Slice open and fluff with a fork.
-
Add desired toppings.
Topping Suggestions (Optional)
-
Butter, sour cream, chopped chives
-
Shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, green onions
-
Greek yogurt, salsa, avocado
-
Chili, pulled chicken, or sautéed mushrooms for a full meal
Storage & Reheating
-
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
-
Reheat in the air fryer at 175°C (350°F) for 5–8 minutes until heated through.
