Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars.

Posted on March 8, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious, easy recipe for Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars—crispy, gooey, and chocolaty all in one bite. 🍫🍯

Ingredients (Makes ~12 bars)

For the Base:

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (or digestive biscuits, crushed)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Caramel Layer:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup or corn syrup (optional, for stretchiness)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Layer:

  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Optional Crunch Add-ins:

  • Chopped nuts, toffee bits, or rice cereal for extra texture

Instructions

1. Prepare the Base

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press mixture evenly into a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool slightly.

2. Make the Caramel Layer

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, and syrup.
  2. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens and turns golden brown (~8–10 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour caramel evenly over the baked crust.
  5. Let it cool for 5–10 minutes before adding chocolate.

3. Chocolate Layer

  1. Melt chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave (30-second intervals, stirring each time) or over a double boiler.
  2. Pour melted chocolate over the caramel layer and spread evenly.
  3. Optional: sprinkle chopped nuts or toffee bits on top.

4. Chill and Cut

  1. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
  2. Lift out the slab using parchment paper and cut into bars.

Tips for Extra Crunch & Gooeyness

  • Use rice cereal or crushed nuts in the base or caramel layer for more texture.
  • Don’t overheat chocolate; keep it smooth and glossy.
  • For easier cutting, warm the knife slightly in hot water before slicing.

If you want, I can also give a “no-bake shortcut version” that’s almost as decadent and ready in 20 minutes—perfect when you don’t want to heat the oven.

Do you want me to share that version?
