Here’s a safe and simple 2-ingredient remedy that can help loosen mucus and soothe your throat. This is for comfort and relief, not a medical cure.


2-Ingredient Mucus-Clearing Drink

Ingredients

  • 1–2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 cup warm water or herbal tea (like ginger or chamomile)

Instructions

  1. Warm the liquid – not boiling, just comfortably warm.
  2. Stir in honey until dissolved.
  3. Drink slowly while still warm.

How It Works

  • Honey: Coats the throat, soothes irritation, and helps reduce coughing.
  • Warm liquid: Loosens thick mucus in the chest and throat so it can be expelled more easily.

Tips for Best Results

  • Drink 2–3 times a day for relief.
  • Use real honey, not artificial sweeteners.
  • Add a slice of lemon if you like—it can help break up mucus.

💡 Quick Note:
This remedy is safe for teens and adults, but do not give honey to children under 1 year old.
