Honey Garlic Ribs

Posted on October 27, 2025 by Admin
Ohhh — Honey Garlic Ribs are a total crowd-pleaser! 🍯🍖 Sweet, sticky, garlicky, and tender — the perfect mix of comfort and flavor. You can make them in the oven, slow cooker, or even the air fryer — here’s the classic oven-baked version that comes out perfectly every time:

🍯 Honey Garlic Ribs

Ingredients

  • 3–4 lbs (1.5–2 kg) pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika (optional, for color)

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ½ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs

    • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).

    • Remove the silver membrane from the back of the ribs for tenderness.

    • Season ribs generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

    • Place ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet or in a roasting pan; cover tightly with foil.

  2. Bake low and slow

    • Bake for 2½–3 hours, until ribs are tender and the meat starts pulling away from the bones.

  3. Make the honey garlic sauce

    • In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, and vinegar.

    • Bring to a simmer for 5–7 minutes.

    • (Optional: stir in cornstarch slurry and simmer another 1–2 minutes until thickened.)

  4. Glaze and broil

    • Remove ribs from oven and discard foil.

    • Brush ribs generously with the honey garlic sauce.

    • Broil on high for 3–5 minutes, until caramelized and sticky — keep an eye on them!

  5. Serve

    • Let rest a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra sauce drizzled over the top.

💡 Tips

  • For even more flavor, marinate the ribs in the sauce for a few hours (or overnight) before baking.

  • To make in a slow cooker, cook on low for 6–7 hours, then glaze and broil for 5 minutes.

  • Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions for a restaurant-style finish.

Would you like me to give you the slow cooker version of these honey garlic ribs next? It’s just as flavorful but completely hands-off.
