I don’t buy bread anymore – the easiest bread recipe without kneading or eggs!

Here’s a super easy, no-knead, no-egg bread recipe that’s soft, crusty, and perfect for beginners. You don’t need fancy equipment — just a bowl and an oven.


Easy No-Knead Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients
    • In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast.
    • Pour in warm water and stir until a sticky dough forms.
    • No kneading required — just mix until combined.
  2. First Rise
    • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel.
    • Let it rest at room temperature for 8–12 hours (overnight is best).
  3. Preheat Oven
    • Place a Dutch oven or oven-safe pot with lid in the oven.
    • Preheat to 450°F (230°C) for about 30 minutes.
  4. Shape the Dough
    • Lightly flour your hands and shape the dough into a ball.
    • Place it carefully into the preheated pot.
  5. Bake
    • Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
    • Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until golden and crusty.
  6. Cool
    • Let the bread cool on a wire rack for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, add herbs, garlic, or seeds to the dough before the first rise.
  • Use a cast iron pot or Dutch oven to get a crispy, bakery-style crust.
  • Store leftover bread in a cloth bag or wrap in a kitchen towel to keep it fresh.
