Here is a proper, complete recipe you can add to your weekly rotation.

Honey Garlic Glazed Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (or boneless if preferred)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the glaze:

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thicker sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken
Pat the chicken dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Sear for flavor
Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
Place chicken skin-side down and cook 5–7 minutes until golden and crispy.
Flip and cook 2 more minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Prepare the glaze
In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, and vinegar.
  5. Bake
Pour the glaze over the chicken in the skillet.
Transfer to the oven and bake 20–25 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Thicken sauce (optional)
If you prefer a thicker glaze, remove chicken once done.
Place skillet on stovetop, bring sauce to a simmer, and stir in the cornstarch mixture.
Cook 1–2 minutes until thickened. Spoon over chicken.

Serving Suggestions

  • Steamed rice
  • Roasted potatoes
  • Green beans or broccoli
  • Simple side salad

This recipe reheats well and works great for meal prep, which makes it ideal for a weekly dinner rotation.

If you’d like, I can also give you a baked casserole version or a slow cooker version of this style of dish.
