🍑 Lazy Man Peach Cobbler
🍽️ Serves: 6–8
⏱️ Prep: 10 mins | Bake: 45–50 mins
🧂 Ingredients:
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
1 cup granulated sugar
-
1 tbsp baking powder
-
¼ tsp salt
-
1 cup milk
-
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
-
1 (28 oz) can sliced peaches in syrup or juice (do not drain)
-
Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon or nutmeg (for topping)
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
-
Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Melt Butter:
-
Place the butter in a 9×13 baking dish.
-
Put the dish in the oven to melt while the oven preheats.
-
Once melted, remove the dish (don’t let the butter brown).
3. Make the Batter:
-
In a bowl, whisk together:
-
Flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk.
-
-
Mix until just combined — a few small lumps are okay.
4. Assemble the Cobbler:
-
Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter (don’t stir!).
-
Spoon peaches and their juice evenly over the top.
✨ Do not stir — the magic happens as it bakes!
-
Optional: Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg for added flavor.
5. Bake:
-
Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
🍨 Serve Warm With:
-
A scoop of vanilla ice cream
-
Or a dollop of whipped cream
🔁 Variations:
-
Use fresh or frozen peaches (about 4 cups) — cook them with ½ cup sugar and a splash of water before using.
-
Try with other fruits: cherries, blackberries, blueberries, or apples.
-
Add a splash of vanilla or almond extract to the batter.
