🔪 Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and orange zest.
3. Cut in the Butter

Add cold butter pieces and cut in with a pastry blender or fingers until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the raisins.
4. Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk cream, egg, vanilla, and orange juice (if using).

Pour into the dry mixture and stir just until a soft dough forms (don’t overmix).
5. Shape the Dough

Turn out onto a floured surface. Gently knead 2–3 times and pat into a 1-inch thick circle.

Cut into 8 wedges (like a pizza) and place on baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
