🥦 Crispy Roasted Cauliflower Recipe
Ingredients:
-
1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
-
2–3 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
-
1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
-
1/4 tsp black pepper
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for a smoky flavor)
-
2–3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra crisp and flavor)
-
Optional: a squeeze of lemon juice or chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
-
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
-
Prepare the cauliflower:
-
Wash and dry the cauliflower thoroughly (moisture prevents crisping).
-
Cut into evenly sized florets for even roasting.
-
-
Season:
-
In a large bowl, toss the florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
-
Add Parmesan cheese if using, and toss again to coat.
-
-
Roast:
-
Spread the cauliflower in a single layer on the baking sheet. Make sure there’s space between the florets (overcrowding causes steaming).
-
Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
-
-
Finish & Serve:
-
Optionally, sprinkle with lemon juice or fresh herbs right before serving.
-
Serve hot!
-
🔄 Variations:
-
Spicy: Add a pinch of cayenne or chili flakes.
-
Cheesy: Use more Parmesan or add shredded cheddar in the last 5 minutes.
-
Asian-style: Toss with sesame oil and a drizzle of soy sauce before roasting.
