Here’s a super-easy way to make perfectly soft, flavorful potatoes in a crock pot using just foil:

🥔 Crock Pot Foil-Wrapped Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • Medium potatoes (any type: russet, red, or Yukon)
  • Olive oil or butter (optional)
  • Salt, pepper, and any herbs/spices you like (rosemary, garlic powder, paprika)

Method:

  1. Wash and dry potatoes thoroughly.
  2. Rub with olive oil or butter and season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  3. Wrap each potato individually in tin foil.
  4. Place in the crock pot—no need to add water.
  5. Cook on low for 6–8 hours (or high for 3–4 hours), depending on potato size.
  6. Check for doneness by piercing with a fork—it should go in easily.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite toppings: sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, or a drizzle of olive oil.

✅ Tips for Maximum Flavor:

  • Add garlic cloves or onion slices into the foil for an extra aroma
  • For a crispy skin, unwrap and broil for 5 minutes at the end
  • Leftovers can be sliced and pan-fried for breakfast hash

Bottom line: Wrapping potatoes in foil and slow-cooking in a crock pot makes them creamy inside, flavorful, and almost effortless—perfect for busy days or meal prep!
