Dredge chicken in flour, add to slow cooker. 4 simple ingredients later: terrific dinner!

Posted on March 1, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a clear, easy version of that slow cooker chicken recipe — just 4 ingredients and minimal prep:

Ingredients

  1. Chicken – 4–6 bone-in thighs or breasts
  2. Flour – ½ cup, for dredging
  3. Liquid – 1 cup of chicken broth (or cream of mushroom/chicken soup for a richer sauce)
  4. Seasoning – Salt and pepper (or your favorite herbs, like thyme or paprika)

Optional: Add chopped carrots, potatoes, or onions for extra flavor and a complete meal.

Instructions

  1. Dredge the chicken in flour on all sides. Shake off excess.
  2. Place in the slow cooker. Arrange chicken in a single layer if possible.
  3. Add liquid and seasoning. Pour broth (or soup) over the chicken. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any herbs.
  4. Cook on low for 4–6 hours (or high 2–3 hours) until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Optional: Thicken the sauce at the end by removing chicken and simmering the liquid for 5–10 minutes.

Serving Ideas

  • Serve over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce.
  • Pair with steamed vegetables or a simple salad for a complete dinner.

If you want, I can also give a trick to make the sauce extra creamy without adding more ingredients — it makes the dish taste restaurant-level good.

Do you want me to share that trick?
