Ingredients

  • 6–8 raw chicken drumsticks
  • ½ cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a lighter option)
  • 3 tablespoons honey (adds natural sweetness and caramelization)
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced (for flavor)

Optional: pinch of black pepper or chili flakes for extra kick.


Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Pat drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix the sauce: In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic.
  3. Add to slow cooker: Place chicken drumsticks in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. Toss lightly to coat.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).
  5. Optional finishing: For slightly crispy skin, broil the drumsticks in the oven for 3–5 minutes after cooking.
