Baked Potato.

Posted on March 18, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple, reliable way to make a perfect baked potato—crispy outside, soft and fluffy inside. 🥔

🥔 Ingredients

  • 1 large Russet potato (best for baking)
  • 1–2 tsp olive oil
  • Salt (and pepper if you like)

🔥 Oven Method (Best Taste)

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
  • Wash and scrub the potato
  • Pat dry and poke holes with a fork (prevents bursting)

2. Season

  • Rub with olive oil
  • Sprinkle generously with salt

3. Bake

  • Place directly on the oven rack or tray
  • Bake 45–60 minutes until soft inside

4. Finish

  • Slice open immediately
  • Fluff the inside with a fork

⚡ Quick Microwave Method

  • Poke holes
  • Microwave 5–8 minutes, turning halfway
  • Optional: bake 10 minutes in oven for crispy skin

🧈 Topping Ideas

  • Butter + salt
  • Sour cream + chives
  • Cheese + black pepper
  • Baked beans
  • Grilled chicken or veggies

💡 Tips

  • Don’t wrap in foil if you want crispy skin
  • Use larger potatoes for fluffier texture
  • Add a pinch of salt inside after cutting for extra flavor
