Here’s a simple and effective way to make homemade collagen-boosting food using just a few ingredients. This isn’t pure collagen like a supplement, but it stimulates your body’s natural collagen production.


Homemade Collagen-Boosting Broth

Ingredients (4–5 simple items):

  • 2–3 pounds of chicken bones or beef bones
  • 1–2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2–3 garlic cloves
  • 1–2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (helps extract minerals and collagen)

Optional: herbs like parsley or thyme


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the bones:

  3. Simmer slowly:
    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 12–24 hours. Longer simmering extracts more collagen.
  4. Strain and store:
    Strain the liquid into jars. Let cool and refrigerate (up to 5 days) or freeze for later.
  5. Use daily:
    Drink 1 cup per day as a warm beverage, or use it as a base for soups and stews.
