add aspirin to the washing machine every time I do the laundry.

It’s not a good idea to add aspirin to your washing machine every time you do laundry.

Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) isn’t designed for fabric care. While it can dissolve in water, using it regularly in a washing machine can lead to a few problems:

  • No real cleaning benefit: It’s not a proper detergent or stain remover for general laundry.
  • Possible residue issues: It may not fully break down in every wash, leaving buildup in clothes or the machine over time.
  • Unnecessary wear and confusion in care routine: Modern detergents already contain enzymes and agents that do the job far better.

If the idea is for stain removal (especially sweat or yellow stains):

Safer and more effective options are:

  • Oxygen-based bleach (like sodium percarbonate products)
  • Enzyme laundry detergents
  • A mix of baking soda + normal detergent for mild stains
  • Soaking whites separately before washing

If you tell me what you were trying to achieve with aspirin (whitening, stain removal, odor, etc.), I can suggest a much more reliable method.
