Brain damage is possible even after a single dose. The EMA has ordered the immediate recall of the drugs.

That’s a serious claim, and as written it’s missing key context that would matter a lot for whether it’s true or not.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) does issue safety alerts and can suspend or recall medicines, but those actions are always specific to a particular drug, a specific risk signal, and defined conditions of use. A statement like “brain damage is possible even after a single dose” is not something the EMA would announce in that general form—it would always be tied to a named medicine, dose range, patient group, and evidence.

Right now, without the drug name or an official link, this reads more like a misquote, viral summary, or incomplete interpretation of a regulatory notice.

If you share:

  • the name of the drug, or
  • where you saw this statement (article, post, screenshot),

I can help check what the EMA actually said and whether there is a real recall or safety warning behind it.
