Baked Potato.

Here’s a simple, reliable baked potato recipe—crispy skin, fluffy inside:


🥔 Classic Oven-Baked Potato

Ingredients

  • 1 large russet potato (best for baking)
  • 1–2 tsp olive oil
  • Salt (coarse or kosher preferred)
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, cheese, chives, bacon, etc.

🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    Set to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prep the potato
    • Scrub clean and dry היט thoroughly
    • Pierce 5–6 times with a fork (prevents bursting)
  3. Season
    • Rub with olive oil
    • Sprinkle generously with salt
  4. Bake
    • Place directly on oven rack (or on a baking sheet)
    • Bake for 45–60 minutes, depending on size
    • It’s done when the skin is crisp and a knife slides in easily
  5. Finish
    • Slice open, fluff the inside with a fork
    • Add butter and your favorite toppings

💡 Tips

  • For extra crispy skin: skip foil (it traps steam)
  • For softer skin: wrap in foil before baking
  • Short on time? Microwave 5–7 min first, then finish in oven 15 min for crispiness
