🌿 Ingredients

  1. Meat with bones – Chicken thighs, pork shoulder, or lamb shanks work best.
  2. Vegetables – Seasonal favorites like carrots, onions, or potatoes.
  3. Broth or stock – Chicken, beef, or vegetable for richness.
  4. Herbs or seasoning – Simple salt, pepper, and a sprig of rosemary or thyme.

🍲 Instructions

  1. Prep the meat
    Season the meat generously with salt and pepper. Optional: brown lightly in a pan for extra flavor.
  2. Layer in the pot
    Place vegetables at the bottom of a slow cooker or Dutch oven, then put the meat on top.
  3. Add liquid
    Pour in enough broth to almost cover the meat. Toss in your herbs.
  4. Cook low and slow
    • Slow cooker: 6–8 hours on low
    • Oven: 300°F (150°C) for 2–3 hours covered
  5. Serve
    The meat should be falling off the bone, and the vegetables infused with savory broth.
