That “People with this ear hole have…” line is almost always clickbait.
It usually refers to a small congenital feature called a Preauricular sinus (sometimes called a preauricular pit). It’s:
- a tiny opening or dimple near the front of the ear
- present from birth
- fairly common and usually harmless
What it does NOT mean
There is no scientific evidence that this ear feature predicts:
- intelligence
- personality traits
- “special abilities”
- luck or fate
- any meaningful health condition in most people
What it can mean (rarely)
In some cases, it may:
- occasionally get infected or swollen
- require treatment if it repeatedly causes problems
But most people never have issues.
So when you see “people with this ear hole have…” followed by something dramatic, it’s almost always designed to get clicks, not share real medical information.
If you want, send the full post or screenshot and I’ll break down exactly what it’s claiming.
