🥕 Creamy Chicken & Carrot Pâté (Homemade Spread)

🧂 Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (boiled or roasted, shredded or chopped)
  • 1 medium carrot (peeled and boiled until soft)
  • 2–3 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise (or more for extra creaminess)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional, but makes it richer)
  • 1 small garlic clove (optional, finely grated)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (or a few drops of vinegar)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp paprika or chili flakes (optional)
  • 1–2 tbsp milk or cream (only if needed for blending)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook the carrot
    Boil the carrot until very soft (about 10–15 minutes). Let it cool slightly.
  2. Prepare chicken
    Use fully cooked chicken. Shred or chop it into small pieces so it blends easily.
  3. Blend everything
    In a blender or food processor, add:
    chicken, boiled carrot, butter, mayo, cream cheese, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Adjust texture
    Blend until smooth and creamy.
    If it’s too thick, add a little milk or cream (1 tbsp at a time).
  5. Taste & fix
    Adjust salt, pepper, or lemon juice depending on your preference.
  6. Chill
    Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. It tastes better after resting.
